"I just wanted to express my gratitude to the staff at Lafayette in Marblehead where my father is residing. The experience with this facility has been positive since his initial admission to the rehab. Specifically, I appreciated the calls I received from numerous different staff upon his admission who sought to learn more about him and his needs in order to provide him with the best care. Since entering long-term care, his health has improved and he has regained strength, in spite of being 100 years old. Administration, nurses, aids, physical therapists - all of the staff we have encountered have been wonderful. The facility itself is homey, clean, and well maintained with fresh flowers, clean linens, and more. Of all the facilities we have been to, this is by far our favorite."

"My mom is in full time care at this nursing home. The staff at this nursing home is incredibly skilled, attentive and caring. While the facility is outdated and needs renovation, the older decor actually provided comfort to my elder mom who has Alzheimer's disease. If you are in the process of moving a loved one into a care facility, remember that it is more important that there are good caregivers than beautiful carpets. And that they are likely older than you and their tastes are different than yours. The activities coordinators, the nurses, the aides, the housekeeping staff, the physical therapists, the social workers are all incredible here. It is a small place with big love. Know that even though you are afraid and are inclined to complain as we all are when we are feeling a lack of control and grief, your loved one will be cared for best here. Try to be a nice person yourself - all people respond best to this."
